Why is it important?

Google Earth permits very effective overlays of multiple digital data sets of remote sensing data that augment one another and permit the user to glean additional information otherwise difficult to extract.

Perspectives

Google Earth permits the user to select which mulitple satellite remote sensing data sets to view and enables the user to quickly manipulate them to find the best combination for their specific operational or research goals.
