What is it about?
Micro-vascular flaps are not commonly used for coverage in cases of electrical burns. Our experience is contrary, and though we used the flap early in electrical burns the results were comparable to any other free flap.

Why is it important?
The theory of progressive damage in electrical burns is not completely right and limbs can be salvaged with early and complete debridement and early flap cover.
