Nitric oxide sensing silk

What is it about?

We immoblised myoglobin in honeybee silk films. The films had a good sensitivity for nitric oxide and were remarkably stable.

Why is it important?

We report a stable nitric oxide sensor which can be used to measure nitric oxide directly from gaseous samples.
