What is it about?
This is about the scaffolds used in breast cancer research. It generally represents almost all the biomaterials, scaffolds used for research studies.

Why is it important?
This review reflects about almost all the biomaterials, and scaffolds used in the cancer studies, particularly breast cancer for 3D culture, drug delivery and effects of anti-cancer drugs on the cells grown on 3D substratum, which mimics native like microenvironment to the cells.
Perspectives
It gives latest information about the tendency of breast cancer studies using 3D scaffolds and directs the research to reveal the native microenvironmental condition to the cancer cells in future that allows to cancer studies, its mechanisms, screening of drugs in vitro system.
