Mg and Al incorporated bioglass

What is it about?

the effect of magnesium (1 wt%) and aluminum (1 wt%) incorporation on the in vitro bioactivity and biodegradation behavior of melt derived 45S5 bioactive glasses synthesized from rice husk biosilica.

Why is it important?

Biogenic silica based bioactive glasses were successfully prepared by melt quenching technique. The effect of magnesium and aluminium incorporation on in vitro bioactivity of glasses were investigated.
