What is it about?

Struvite crystallization has become an interesting subject for numerous reasons. In this study, the effects of pH, temperature and citric acid on struvite precipitation individually were investigated, as well as the interactions among all three parameters together.

Why is it important?

The results obtained from this study will contribute to the determination of optimum conditions for processes where struvite crystallization occurs under different working conditions. Moreover, the characterization and optimization results can be used as a guide for research on the morphology, size and filtration characteristics control of struvite crystals.
