What is it about?
This article looked to see what cited references in key social work journals were included in Web of Science, Google Scholar, and Scopus. Although coverage overlapped, each database had some unique citations. Therefore no one database could be considered the ultimate resource for finding citations to social work research.

Why is it important?
This is important because Web of Science traditionally has very poor coverage of the social science citation counts. Also, social work and social welfare are interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary so subject coverage in article databases is not as straightforward as it is in some other subjects.
Perspectives
This article and the gerontology article, which are both citation analyses, spurred greater interest and lines of inquiry into resarch impact metrics.
