Why is it important?

Media reports indicate that young people in Nigeria play drinking games and some have died during/after gaming, but no empirical research exists. This is the first study to provide an empirical evidence, confirming media reports.

Perspectives

This study provides a snapshot of drinking game participation among students and thus, suggested that more research should be conducted to aid interventions.
