What is it about?
The main point of the work was the analysis of available data concerning toxicity of green synthesized silver nanoparticles in cancer cell cultures. We discussed the silver nanoparticle sinthesis using biological extracts and toxicity of such particles on cancer cells.

Why is it important?
It could be important because of the growing trend of green synthesis of nanoparticles (i.e. synthesis using plant, fungal and microbial extracts which is supposed to be more ecologically acceptable and simple). Besides obvious antimicrobial properties, silver nanoparticles possess anticancerous activity to some extent. There is a need for stricter evaluation of the data that could be obtained concerning anticancer activity of silver nanoparticles.
