Why is it important?

This is an update of our earlier chapter on this same topic which originally appeared in the Encyclopedia of the Human Brain. This updated version contains a plethora of new information not found in the original chapter.

Perspectives

This invited chapter was a great opportunity for me to work with my long time colleague Dr. Joe Jabre on an update to my original chapter on the topic of neurobehavioral toxicology which was originally published in the hardcopy version of the Encyclopedia of the Human Brain over 15 years ago. We specifically revised the original version to appeal to a wider online target audience.
