What is it about?
Maxwell's equations for the electromagnetic field in a heterogeneous medium with displacement currents is reduced to an integral equation with a contraction kernel. The equation may be solved either by simple iterations which converge for arbtrary distributions of the medium conductivity, dielectric permittivity, and at any frequency. Alternatively, the method offers an ideal preconditioner providing the equation which may be solved by one of the conjugate gradient methods.
