What is it about?
The authors have proposed a hybrid geothermal flat plate solar collector dryer. This type of novel dryer integrates more than one type of renewable energy to increase the efficiency and run time of dryers. In this case geothermal and solar energy is used. The study extensively analyzes the performance of the proposed hybrid dryer with numerical simulation

Why is it important?
Our finding shows that hyrbid geothermal-solar drying can reduce carbon emission and cost of drying. Moreover, two mode of renewable energy increases the total functional time of the dryer. This type of dryer is extremely feasible for countries with geothermal resources.
