What is it about?

Two technologies were used to analyse the expression of multiple genes in rat fat and liver tissue. The samples were taken from a feeding trial where rats were feed either a control diet or a 10 % seaweed diet. We concluded that the newer technology ‘NanoString®’ was a valuable alternative to the traditional quantitative polymerase chain reaction methodology and may provide more replicable results.
