What is it about?

This work explored a waste to wealth approach by the use of expired salbutamol drug molecule as an emerging anticorrosion additive for mild steel corrosion in oilfield acidizing fluid. To achieve this, a wide experimental data were collected from weight loss, potentiodynamic polarization, DFT studies and statistically analyzed models. Artificial neural network-genetic algorithm (ANN-GA) and adaptive neural fuzzy inference system-genetic algorithm (ANFIS-GA) were utilized as optimization tools. The results obtained confirmed SB as a mixed-type high performing inhibitor for mild steel industrial structures
