What is it about?
A recent design tendency in the automobile industry is the substitution of tires of smaller diameters by tires of larger diameters. This works shows that this substitution results in increased loads in the structure, which may impair fatigue durability.

Why is it important?
Fatigue is one of the most common failure modes in structures and it is important to know how it may affect
Perspectives
This is a great contribution of my former student, Dr. Clayton Mamedes Angelo, who uses his industrial experience to bring research subjects for the academy.
