Highlights • Carbonized Citric acid forms self assembly structure at controlled condition. • Graphene Quantum dots (GQDs) demonstrated efficient and stable fluorescence. • GQDs has high luminescence at variable pH and Temperature. • Reproducible fluorescence for prolonged period of time at ambient temperature.

Perspectives

The present strategy deals with various biomedical application pertaining to drug delivery, bioimaging etc. Different environmental or pH condition can minimize the fluorescence intensity of QDs. This study helps to design a better intermediate for therapy considering temperature, pH of the system.
