Why is it important?

Stent related symptoms cause significant discomfort and are the most important cause of patient dissatisfaction in patients operated for ureteric stone disease. This makes them apprehensive for repeat Ureteroscopic surgeries which is quite common as stone disease has high recurrence rate.

Perspectives

This additional modification causes significant decrease in patient dissatisfaction resulting in patients accepting repeat surgeries in a better way.
