What is it about?
This is the largest systematic-review and meta-analysis of various psychological therapies as interventions in people with hoarding disorder. A total of 10 different types of interventions were examined, which also included acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive rehabilitation and exposure/sorting therapy (CREST), compassion focused therapy (CFT) and Buried in Treasures (BiT) - a group program specifically designed to help those struggling with hoarding disorder.

Why is it important?
It is the most comprehensive and up-to-date meta-analysis. Our findings show that all psychological interventions are successful at reducing hoarding. Furthermore, we show that it doe not matter if the therapy consist of online sessions or face-to-face, group versus individual therapy or eve if the therapy does or does not involve home visits.
