What is it about?

Advance care plans (ACPs) are an important way to protect patients' autonomy. This paper examines factors that prevent older adults from completing ACPs, as well as factors that influence advance care planning decisions. We found that many older adults are not aware of advance care planning, and that a set of internal barriers prevents many individuals from completing ACPs.
