What is it about?
The paper explains the case report of COVID 19 cases managed by Poornachandirodhayam and Gorojanai matthirai - Herbo-mineral combination in Siddha effectively. When the drug is properly prepared and given in a safe dosage during the duration of treatment there will not be any side effects. Metal-based medications Poorna chandirodayam and Gorojanai mathirai have been proven to be safe and efficacious. Metal based prescriptions given for a specific period does not cause untoward effects on liver and renal function. It is clear that the trial medicine removes hazardous chemicals from the body and increases life expectancy. Although the number of patients in this case series was small, treating critically ill Covid-19 patients with a combination of Poorna chandirodayam and Gorojanai mathirai is helpful.

Why is it important?
Hypoxia was a challenging condition in COVID second wave. The efficacy of Herbo-mineral drugs along few herbal decoction was significant in treating hypoxia cases and stoped the worsening of symptoms.
Perspectives
This case study helps us to improve the treatment modalities and use Herbo-mineral combination of drugs in Siddha medicine safely in hypoxia cases.
