What is it about?
It reports for the first time chiral penta-graphene nanotubes as thermal and dynamically stable. The structural prediction of chiral nanotubes of penta-graphene by means of DFT calculations, can be used as guide for experimentalists.

Why is it important?
It opens the field of metaestable structures of carbon and it founds chiral nanotubes as insulators, which can be used in nanoelectronics.
Perspectives
In the meantime, I hope that chiral structures might be found interesting when compared against non chiral ones. Calculations are demonstrating that they are important prediction tools for new materials.
