What is it about?

A fusion of the BAT and Grasshopper algorithms alongside BAT-MMVO (Modified Multiverse Optimization) is showcased to optimize the extraction of maximum power from photovoltaic systems, employing a controller implemented through Xilinx System Generator (XSG). This hybrid BAT-GH and BAT-MMVO algorithm within the implemented controller efficiently determines the optimal switching pulse for the boost converter. Leveraging the XSG domain, the controller, switching strategies, and the photovoltaic-supported boost converter were all constructed.

Why is it important?

This project focuses primarily on minimizing the variance between actual power output and the reference power. The performance of the implemented controller is subsequently assessed against that of other established hybrid controllers.

Perspectives

The performance of the proposed algorithm is found to yield good results in terms of power extraction.
