What is it about?
You may have heard about the effect of trees on cooling the air and improving air quality. However, is this effect the same everywhere? Are all trees equally effective in improving air quality? Can trees cause air pollution in cities? In this research, we have examined these questions. How improper use of trees in the dense tissues of the city center can lead to the strengthening of air pollution and sedimentation. Also, what kind of trees and how to place them in the streets can improve thermal comfort and air quality.

Why is it important?
Examining the presence of trees and urban green space and examining it from different aspects and not in a one-dimensional way can be dynamic and integrated solutions to improve the livability of the city and citizens. Because examining the effect of urban green space on a large scale or as an effect on a phenomenon alone does not lead to comprehensive solutions, cultural, social, and aesthetic dimensions and the effect on other aspects should be considered.
