What is it about?
Generalized equiangular tight frames unify the ideas concerning mutually unbiased bases. New uncertainty relations for a generalized equiangular measurement are derived. They allow us to use these measurements for emerging quantum technologies.

Why is it important?
Many protocols of quantum information processing use a collection of specially selected states. Mutually unbiased bases are an especially important example. Measurements from generalized equiangular tight frames can be used in a similar way.
Perspectives
This article is directed to expand potential selected of states that can be used as a tool in quantum information processing.
