In daily life, people aim to isolate themselves from environmental noises by listening to music with personal headsets. Evaluation of the association of listening to music loudly through personal listening devices with cochlear synaptopathy in young adults.

Why is it important?
Contrary to popular belief, sounds with an intensity lower than 85 dB can cause cochlear synaptopathy. The danger of long-term use of personal music listening devices in young people increases even more.
