It is possible to use citric acid for removal of lead from flash smelting slag. Optimal conditions: 1 mol/dm3 of citric acid, 30 minutes, 70oC, l/s = 5.

Why is it important?
There are several advantages of the hydrometallurgical technology, namely the prospect of lower production costs, lower energy consumption and a higher recovery rate of lead from slag compared to conventional methods.
