What is it about?
In advanced cancer patients, pain may be difficult to treat. Intrathecal drugs administration is a very diffused option. In this study, three different medicines were combined, for an optimal results.

Why is it important?
This research has shown the importance of a tailored therapy with combination of different analgesics, when terminal cancer patients have a difficult pain to be treated.
Perspectives
The study is opening a research path on the treatment of cancer pain patients. More studies would be necessary to explore new combinations, and/or diffeent dosages of the same drugs.
