What is it about?

SLS parts should have good surface quality (i.e. surface roughness) to fulfil the demands of industries. Thus, this study has been performed to improve the quality of SLS parts.

Why is it important?

We have demonstarted the individual and simultaneous effect of different parameters on the surface roughness of sintered parts from glass-filled (GF) polyamide material.

Perspectives

The current challenge is to achieve superior part quality, in terms of mechanical properties (strength), dimensional accuracy and surface finish. One of the major issues is the poor surface quality of SLS parts. Therefore, this work has been conducted to improve the quality of parts produced by SLS process.
