What is it about?

Olfactory ensheating cells are specialized cells of the nervous system specialized in supporting olfactory neurons. They can enhance cell survival after transplantation, but their specific properties are undefined . We here demonstrate that they are very plastic and able to change their behaviour and the release of different growth factors in relation to changes in the surrounding environment.
