What is it about?

In the presented work a method of destruction of the sorted waste electrical and electronic equipment in the plasma furnace was proposed. Condensed products were processed to obtain the pure metals, alloys, and energy.

Why is it important?

Waste electronic equipment contains precious metals (copper, tin, gold, silver). The paper presents an environmentally safe way for the recovery of these metals.

Perspectives

Melting sorted electronic scrap in a plasma furnace is an effective, wastefree disposal method. As a result of the studies, copper with a purity of ~98%, tin concentrate, environmentally inert slag, and energy have been produced.
