What is it about?

Altered states of Selfhood had unique neurophenomenological profiles, where several aspects or components of Selfhood (measured neurophysiologically and phenomenologically) are affected and expressed differently, but still in agreement with the neurophysiological three-dimensional construct model of the complex experiential Selfhood.

The findings of the present study contribute to new converging evidence for a more comprehensive understanding of the complexity of altered states of Selfhood.

Perspectives

It was a pleasure to meet the participants of this study who dedicated their time and unique contemplative expertise in order to advance the scientific understanding of experiential Selfhood.
