Why is it important?

Its critical to public health to sensitize people on the sound management of these chemicals which are produced unintentionally i.e. as by products of incomplete combustion of many house hold materials such as plastics, medical waste and bio-mass.

Perspectives

This publication will help efforts in the global combat of activities that produce these chemical compounds that are not benign to the environment. A concerted global approach with a leveled playing field is essential to ensure that no one is left behind in this noble cause of the sound management of persistent organic pollutants (POPs)
