Review of novel 5G technologies.

What is it about?

An outline of expected benefits of novel 5G fundamentals is deliberated in this paper. We discuss the compelling need of a new spectrum followed by associated changes in terms of air interface, architecture and MAC layer protocols. For alleviating access complexity in diverse-dense 5G deployment, we make a review on Heterogeneous-Cloud Radio Access Networks and Software Defined Networking. We also discuss two disruptive approaches with high research challenges, non orthogonality and full duplex.
