This was a topic I was passionate about and committed time and effort into review of the literature to be able to conduct the research and write the manuscript. Having the work published for me is very rewarding as it showed that the effort put in was not in vain. The research forms the basis for future research on chemotherapy-induced neutropenia in cancer patients in Oman so that the problem can be better understood and patients at risk can be more effectively managed.
