We have described here an activity assay for Dopamine-β-hydroxylase Activity which employs for the first time Ultra high performance liquid chromatography and the common place absorbance based Photo Diode Array(PDA) detector.

This method is simple, less time consuming, economical and doesn't involve column switching or derivatization procedures.

Perspectives

This method may help in it's wide spread use in pharmacogenetics and in screening inhibitors for Dopamine-β-hydroxylase .
