Cracks with interfacial bonds in the hub of a friction pair

What is it about?

Analytical solution for an interfacial crack problem in the hub of a friction pair, is obtained. The method of complex analysis with linear perturbation is employed to derive such solution. This solution can be considered as an extension for analytical solutions of contact fracture mechanics problems. The analysis of the model of a bridged crack in the hub of a friction pair during operation was reduced to a parametric investigation for different values of the free parameters of the friction pair, that is, the physical and mechanical characteristics of the materials, the geometrical dimensions of the hub and the shaft, and the speed of the shaft.
