What is it about?

Rubber nanocomposite development requires the addition of one or more nanoparticles "species". The thermal analysis of these compounds is necessary to understand modification on the rubber nature inserted by nanoparticles. From these data, thermal cycle and composition can be re-engineered.

Why is it important?

A robust approach to understanding of thermo-processing of functional rubbers is developed. Both technological and scientific aspects of thermo-processing of rubber under effect of type and concentration of nanoparticles are approached in a deep insight. As a whole, the procedure of measurements and its analysis, as well as the set of intrinsic parameters of the rubber that were modified by the functional additives are discussed and inter related.

Perspectives

Based on the previously discussed in the paper, the understanding of modifications of thermo processing parameters of natural rubber assign to the developing of new materials nanocomposite can be useful in the design of new classes of natural or synthetic rubber.
