What is it about?
We addressed a bi-objective problem aimed at both maximizing participation levels and ensuring equitable distribution of services among different neighborhoods for preventive healthcare network. For the conventional version of the model, we developed a fuzzy goal programming approach using Zimmermann’s and Werners’ operators. Later, we introduced a modified version where the budget constraint is treated as a soft constraint and modeled as a chance constraint

Why is it important?
The problem considers the preventive health care service design problem which considers both equity of the disadvantaged groups and maximize participation.
Perspectives
Using Fuzzy Goal Programing and introducing budget constrain as a soft constraing and modeling is as a chance constraint is a viable alternative for such design problems.
