What is it about?

Vascular modeling is an important approach in cardiovascular disease screening, diagnosis and treatment. We have shown the relationship between the changes in arterial property and cardiovascular risk factors development over ageing and duration of the disease. The data has been proved by simulation against actual clinical data.

Why is it important?

Our findings show the vascular property development against ageing and diabetes patients. It details the functional and structural changes in the different part of the upper limb arterial system from aorta to finger capillary. Thus, the developed model can be extended to predict the severity of the cardiovascular risk factor development in patients through a non-invasive screening.

Perspectives

We hope this article able to contribute to both researchers and clinical community who are focusing on preventive and personalize treatment approach. The established technique able to identify the severity of the cardiovascular risk factor development which will be able to assist the clinicians in deciding the prescription to the patients.
