Why is it important?

This paper and its presentation worldwide generated great interest because it further consolidates the proactive approach to scar modification. Instead of waiting for the scar to form and then treating it, here we have proven that we can positively influence it during its formation.

Perspectives

As "skin surgeons and healers" for plastic surgeons and dermatologist are dedicated to understanding the healing process. It is my personal focus in research to help get better cosmesis using​ a proactive, evidence-based approach.
