Influence of the gravity on the discharge of a silo

What is it about?

The paper is about the effect of the gravity on the flow of beads out of a silo. The paper propose two experiments to check experimentally that the flow depends on the square root of the gravity. Three setups are presented, wether in 2D or in 3D. Some considerations are given about the existence of a fluidized area where the beads flow like a liquid.
