Why is it important?
Fine needle aspiration in patients with parotid disease allows better diagnosis when used together with clinical, radiological and intraoperative findings. This procedure might lead to inaccurate diagnosis, a fact that underlines the need to always practice it together with multiple resources and not alone
Perspectives
I think that fine needle aspiration is a very helpful diagnostic tool and it would be a good protocol to incorporate such exam in routine practice
