What is it about?
Rainfall and temperature are important for agricultural and disaster management over Nigeria. The ability to predict both rainfall and temperature will be of great and immense value to Nigerians. Several attempts at predicting these atmospheric variables have been unsuccessful. In this research, we aim to whether the variables can be predicted accurately on the short and long term over Nigeria.

Why is it important?
Our findings showed that it will be difficult to predict temperature and rainfall accurately over Nigeria. Accuracy of predictions will increase as one moves towards the northern region of the country.
Perspectives
From farmers who depend on rainfall to areas prone to flooding, knowing the amount of rainfall to expect is of great importance. This article addresses the issue surrounding prediction of rainfall and temperature in Nigeria.
