Nomenclature of laser surgery in the upper aerodigestive tract

What is it about?

Endolaryngeal laser surgery is a very popular type of surgery. However terminology as to what was done, how and with which type of laser was confusing. This is an attempt to standardise terminology and make publications and communication easier and properly descriptive of each procedure.

Why is it important?

To avoid the confusion in communication and clarify all the relevant points in a given procedural technique
