What is it about?
In this paper, we study how supply chain visibility of products as they move down a supply chain impacts inventory cost. This visibility can be realised through the use of information communication technology, such as, RFID. We develop a model with supply chain visibility incorporated and compared it with a base model without the visibility.

We verify through numerical studies that the impact on inventory costs by having knowledge of supply chain visibility in our model is not high.
Perspectives
We derived by hand closed form formulae that are incorporated in our implementation of models .
