Why is it important?
Hydrogen is a clean and efficient energy source and has been considered as one of the best alternative energy carriers for the transport sector. Nanoparticle decorated Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) have received much attention as hydrogen storage medium at non-cryogenic temperatures. This chapter provides fundamental insights into strategies for the development of nanoparticle decorated MWCNTs under different experimental conditions for better hydrogen storage.
Perspectives
Need to develop a cost-effective and safe storage system for the hydrogen economy as specified by the Department of Energy (DOE)
