What is it about?
There are different ways of seeing the role of the interpreter in society, and education is where these begin to emerge. However, there is not always a clear path and interpreter roles can even be conflicting and confusing. This book explores how a cohort of interpreter students navigate their social and professional identities in the classroom.

Educational institutes need to engage with changes in society and address the emerging issues that affect how students envisage their future professions. When students are aware of all the arguments about what their future roles as professionals are they can build stronger social and professional identities and serve society better.
