What is it about?

Under the leadership of Ruby Roy Dholakia at the University of Rhode Island (URI), over two decades of research on tech-consumers-market related topics has been happening. This article traces the key moments in this research program, particularly in terms of the significant dissertations completed at URI.

Why is it important?

This paper owes a lot to the significant transatlantic collaboration with the group of researchers working with Professor Wolfgang Fritz in Germany and his colleague Udo Wagner in Vienna.

Perspectives

Although published in Europe and thus not widely available in North America and Asia (and elsewhere), this represents one of the best windows into the almost 3-decade long program of research into information technology, consumers and markets done under the leadership of Ruby Roy Dholakia, with offshoots and assists from some of my research. Hence, I continue to develop this paper's Kudos site as a portal into other related work.
