What is it about?

The article describes the bioimpedance method of obesity diagnosis. Such experiments are very important nowadays, because many people are obese and have problems connected with it. It is essential to check parameters such as a total body water (TBW), fat-free body mass (FFM), fat mass and body fat percentage in order to start a proper treatment and compose a right diet for the patient. Due to that fact, a special meter was constructed. The main aim of the project was to create a cheap, intuitive to operate, easily accessible equipment with high measuring credibility. The projected meter uses laptops and a LabVIEW application dedicated to measurements of bioelectrical impedance. Some results of the meter tests are shown in the article.
