What is it about?
Diagnostic algorithms have been generated to facilitate an accurate diagnosis of MF. A full history and physical, with attention to skin and percent body surface area (BSA), peripheral lymph nodes, and organomegaly/masses (spleen/liver) should be performed in the clinical evaluation for suspected MF. Biopsy of suspicious skin sites followed by dermatopathologic review is essential in the diagnosis of MF, which can be followed up with immunophenotyping, genetic testing, and/or molecular analysis of skin biopsy in search of clonal T-cell rearrangements.
